Most people don’t know how to recognize or act in case of an emergency. Early recognition and a few simple interventions can prevent death and disability. Learning first aid and CPR can help you recognize and respond to an emergency, provide comfort and aid until professional help can arrive.
Heart and Stroke Foundation of India (HSFI) has developed First Aid Everywhere™, a turnkey educational program designed specifically for anyone who wants to help save lives by learning first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills. The curriculum is available in both English and Hindi, using video and hands-on practice with manikins and first aid equipment. There are 9 topics including instruction on roadside emergencies: bleeding, heart attack, stroke, choking, finding the problem, Hands-Only CPR, CPR with breaths, drowning, and use of an automated external defibrillator (AED).
On the 7th and 8th of March 2022, Lifeline Foundation delivered workshops using HSFI First Aid Everywhere™ to instruct over 300 teachers and students from Alwar, Rajasthan. There were participants from Northern Institute of Engineering and Technology, Northern Institute of Pharmacy and Research, as well as guests from the Lords University and Swami Vivekanand Senior Secondary School.
The first event was introduced by Professor Kumawat, Principal of the Northern Institute of Pharmacy and Research. He introduced the faculties, encouraged the students and set the tone for the workshop. He expressed his pleasure in inviting HSFI into his campus and training his students and staff in life-saving skills of first aid.
HSFI would like to thank Prabha Automotive Engineers Private LTD for their generous support as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility endeavors for supporting HSFI in its mission to Build a Nation of Lifesavers.
